Bitter Rice
A pair of two-bit crooks in Northern Italy, Francesca and Walter disguise themselves as women rice labourers in order to avoid being apprehended by law enforcement officials. Silvana, a voluptuous peasant rice worker, and Marco, a soldier who is about to be discharged, are two of the characters she meets. In the rice fields, Walter follows her, and the four main characters become embroiled in a complicated conspiracy involving thievery, love, and murder.
