Repulsion
In Roman Polanski's first movie in English, Carole, a beautiful young manicurist, is afraid of men (the pathological fear of interaction with men). Helen, her sister and roommate, leaves their London apartment to take a trip to Italy with her husband. When Helen leaves, Carole stays in her apartment by herself. She starts to have scary hallucinations, and her fear slowly turns into madness.
