Grace (aka "Twinkle Toes"), 14, has been fantasizing about the greatest summer vacation with her best friends, Jordan and Sporty Shorty. A once-in-a-lifetime chance for Twinkle Toes's Dad to direct a Broadway musical means that she must leave her quiet suburban upbringing behind and spend a summer in the big city. While learning the ropes of New York City and Broadway, Twinkle Toes impresses the show's choreographer and is given an opportunity to join Olivia Conners, the show's adolescent starlet. In the end, when Twinkle Toes gets a taste of the Broadway limelight, the play is wrecked by her desire for celebrity! As a means of helping her new companions and saving the concert, Twinkle Toes must employ all of her resources, including her intellect and dancing abilities.
