20 Million Miles to Earth

When the first manned mission to Venus returns to Earth, the rocket crashes-lands near a small Italian fishing village in the Mediterranean. Colonel Calder, the mission commander, is saved by the locals. A young boy also recovers what turns out to be an alien creature specimen. It escapes and eventually threatens the city of Rome, growing at an incredible rate.
