Herb's life is chaotic. And his diet consists mostly of cheap beer and mushy peas and he's lost his welfare. He realizes it's not a good way to live. Next he sees on TV that Danish convicts have it better than he does: a job, healthcare, rural tranquility and even HDTV. They're nearly hotel-bound. He leaves his run-down accommodation and smuggles himself to Denmark on a cargo ship, landing in a charming town with everything he wants, including a bank to heist. A kind local barmaid and a loyal stray dog make him ponder if prison is really his only option.
