Dr. Who and the Daleks

In the episode "The Tardis," the scientist Doctor Who unintentionally triggers his latest invention, the Tardis, a time machine disguised as a police phone box. It is time and space travel that brings Doctor Who, his two grandchildren, and Barbara's boyfriend Ian to the planet Skaro, where a peaceful race of Thals is threatened with annihilation by the planet's other residents: the robotic mutant Daleks.
