Odette

Odette Sansom, a Special Operations Executive French-born spy, was captured by the Germans in 1943, sentenced to death, and sent to Ravensbrück prison camp to be executed. The film is based on her true experience. Her survival was even more remarkable given that her testimony was critical of prison guards at the Ravensburg trials. In 1946, she became the first and only woman to be awarded the George Cross while still living, making history.
