Painted Woman

Adapted from Dusty Richards' popular western novel "Mustanger and the Lady," "Painted Woman" tells the narrative of Julie Richards. Julie is a woman of her generation, transferred from hand to hand in a web of cruelty and prostitution that lands her at Kyle Allison's feet. Allison, a wealthy businessman in Goldfield's old west, brought little Julie into his home and made her his trophy. This life came with the benefit of being looked after as well as the cost of additional abuse. As Julie's time with Allison draws to a conclusion, she is presented with two very different options for escape... PAINTED WOMAN is divided into two unique chapters of Julie's life, with each chapter echoing the previous one. Julie meets Frank in the first chapter. It is primarily told at night in the Goldfield town. The Mustanger is the focus of Chapter Two. It is set in the outdoors and is narrated primarily during the day.
