Pollock

In August 1949, Life Magazine published a cover story asking, "Is Jackson Pollock the greatest living painter in the United States?" The film offers a look back at the life of an unusual guy, who has been appropriately described as "an artist dedicated to secrecy, a celebrity nobody knew." Pollock's downward spiral began as he battled self-doubt, caught in a lonely tug-of-war between the need to express himself and the need to shut out the world.
