The Astronaut Farmer

When Charles Farmer's father died, the Texan decided to leave the Air Force in order to save his family's ranch. A typical American rancher owes money to the bank. He's an astronomer, but unlike most, he has a rocket in his barn that he built himself and hopes to launch into orbit. I know it's what he wants to do. Even though the FBI and the FAA put him under observation when he tries to acquire rocket fuel, Charles remains unfazed.
