CW Briggs has been an insurance investigator for a long time and has had a lot of good luck. Betty Ann Fitzgerald is a new employee at the company he works for. She has the job of reorganizing the office, which is a big job. At least, that is what they think. People from the office go on a night out together. They go to see Voltan, a magician who hypnotizes both of them while they aren't paying attention.
