Maverick veteran coach Jimmy McGinty is brought in to lead the Washington Sentinels back into postseason contention following a players' walkout. This unattainable goal rests on the ability of his replacements to dig down and execute their job. A bad-dream team made up of ex-players who were never given a chance (or failed miserably when they did) is assembled by McGinty in order to give the Sentinels a crack at the crown.
