On the other side of the world, an elderly woman's voice recalls a tragic occurrence from her distant past: on a summer night in 1996, five adolescent girls gather in a suburban house without the presence of their parents. In order to pass the time, they began to invent horrific stories about the outside world, competing against one another in a bleak contest of survival.
