Time Without Pity

Alec Graham is punished to death for the murder of his girlfriend Agnes, with whom he invested a weekend break at the English estate of the parents of his pal Brian Stanford. Alec's dad, David Graham, a not-so-successful writer and also alcoholic who has overlooked his son in the past, flies in from Canada to see his boy on fatality row. David then takes place a mission to try as well as clear his son's name while battling "the bottle."
