Las Vegas

NBC aired the American television series Las Vegas from September 22, 2003 until February 15, 2008. The series follows a group of employees at the fictitious Montecito Resort & Casino as they deal with a variety of workplace challenges, including valet parking, restaurant management, and casino security. The sitcom originally aired on Monday nights, but NBC eventually shifted it to Fridays at 9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central and then 10 PM Eastern/9 PM Central. The show discontinued syndication in the United States in July2013, after a long run of daily back-to-back episodes. It was relocated to a graveyard slot at 4 a.m. and subsequently deleted entirely from TNT's schedule. The original focus of the series was on Ed Deline, a stern ex-CIA officer who ascended from Head of Security to President of Operations at the Montecito, whose job is to oversee the casino's daily operations. Ed's old protégé, former Marine Danny McCoy, became the new President of Operations of the Montecito following his departure from the show in Season 5. The series ended prematurely on a cliffhanger since NBC canceled Las Vegas in the offseason following its fifth season.
