The Fugitive

The Fugitive is an American drama series that aired on ABC from 1963 to 1967 and was conceived by Roy Huggins and produced by QM Productions and United Artists Television. Richard Kimble, played by David Janssen, is a doctor who is wrongfully accused of his wife's murder and sentenced to death. Kimble's train derails and crashes en route to death row, allowing him to flee and launch a cross-country quest for the real perpetrator, a "one-armed guy." Simultaneously, Dr. Kimble is being pursued by the authorities, most notably Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard. The Fugitive ran for four seasons and generated 120 51-minute episodes. The first three seasons were shot in black and white, while the last season was shot in color. The Fugitive is currently shown on Me-TV on a weekly basis as of October 2012. The Fugitive was named 36th on TV Guide's list of the 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time in 2002. The one-armed man was ranked #5 on TV Guide's 2013 list of the "60 Nastiest Villains of All Time."
