TriBeCa was a Fox Network television drama anthology series conceived by David J. Burke and co-produced with Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal for TriBeCa Productions in 1993. Me Phi Me, an alternative hip hop singer, performed the series theme song, "Keep It Going." Laurence Fishburne earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Martin McHenry in the season premiere, "The Box." The Fox Broadcasting Company aired the series, which was noted for attracting "actors, screenwriters, and directors of extraordinary talent" and was set in New York City's lower Manhattan district of TriBeCa. Eli Wallach, Kevin Spacey, Kathleen Quinlan, Melanie Mayron, Judith Malina, Carl Lumbly, Richard Lewis, Carol Kane, Debbie Harry, Dizzy Gillespie, and Danny Aiello III were among the stellar casts, which also included series regulars Philip Bosco and Joe Morton. David J. Burke, Hans Tobeason, John Mankiewicz of the renowned Mankiewicz family, Barry Primus, Bryan Spicer, Jeffrey Solomon, and various actors in the series were among the directors and screenwriters.
